Alla notizia del ritiro di Kobe Bryant tutto il mondo, cestistico e non solo, ha avuto una reazione; tra tweet e dichiarazioni ufficiali, ecco alcuni esempi.
Paul George: Kobe was my (Michael) Jordan. I didnt really have any moments of watching Jordan, but Kobe was my Jordan. Watching him win championships, i remember just being at home watching the games with my mom, my grandma, my dad, just idolizing him. After the game was over, Id go in the front yard and try to imitate everything I just saw. So he was, in my eyes not saying hes better than Jordan but for me, growing up, thats who I idolized and look up to. That was the standard. He was the best player, and it wasnt close.

Adam Silver: With 17 NBA All-Star selections, an NBA MVP, five NBA championships with the Lakers, two Olympic gold medals and a relentless work ethic, Kobe Bryant is one of the greatest players in the history of our game. Whether competing in the Finals or hoisting jump shots after midnight in an empty gym, Kobe has an unconditional love for the game. I join Kobes millions of fans around the world in congratulating him on an outstanding NBA career and thank him for so many thrilling memories.
KB scored 56 on me in 3(!) qtrs my rookie year. Pushed me to be better more than any player I’ve faced. He has my ultimate hoops respect.

The game won’t be the same once Kobe is gone… Jamal Crawford (@JCrossover) 30 Novembre 2015
One of the most under appreciated players to ever play is saying goodbye to the game he gave his all! https://t.co/BOi32TOJQS

Frank Vogel: One of the best ever to play the game. I dont know if theres any one moment, just throughout the course of his career you didnt want him to have the ball in his hands with the game on the line, period. Because you knew he was going to beat you.

Magic Johnson: “He’s the closest thing we’ve seen to Michael Jordan. He’ll probably go down as the second greatest scoring guard. You couldn’t stop him. His will to win was incredible and he stayed in the gym like no other. This guy was 24/7 basketball. I’m happy for him because he said he feels this is his time to go out. He’s going out the way he wants to go out.”
Mitch Kupchak: “I hope he has more fun, and appears less frustrated and also gets more appreciation… Because people now have to recognize that this is his last year ans that they are watching one of the all-time greats.”
