Venezia prova il botto, nel mirino la guardia Riquna Williams

La Reyer Venezia fa davvero sul serio. Dopo aver ufficializzato le firme di Kacerik e De Pretto, con Martina Bestagno sempre più candidata a un ruolo primario tra le lunghe, ora la caccia è aperta per individuare la sostituta di Fontenette. Con Ruzickova praticamente confermata e con lei anche Ashley Walker, che giocherà da comunitaria, l’attenzione è quindi rivolta al ruolo di guardia e, secondo quanto riportato da La Nuova Venezia odierna, candidata numero uno è Riquna Williams. Classe 1990, l’asso americana sarebbe davvero un colpo di notevole importanza. Già vista in Italia a Ragusa, nel 2013-14 chiuse con 15 punti e 7 rimbalzi di media in 26 partite disputate. Recentemente ha indossato la maglia del Osmaniye Genclik in Turchia, mettendosi in mostra con 19 punti e 5 rimbalzi catturati a partita. Attualmente sta disputando la WNBA con le Los Angeles Sparks.
